Elected and Appointed Carlton L. Johnson , a partner with Archer & Greiner,has been appointed to the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Formerly the top-ranking attorney in Philadelphia’s civil rights unit, Johnson is based in the firm’s Philadelphia office as a partner in the firm’s litigation department. The Board of Governors has general charge of the bar association’s business and affairs. Johnson is co-chairman of the firm’s civil rights and government relations practices.   Patricia L. Dodgehas been named chairwoman of Meyer Unkovic & Scott’sbusiness litigation group, and Jane Lewis Volkhas been named chairwoman of the firm’s employment law and employee benefits group. Dodge concentrates her practice on civil litigation, including commercial and business disputes, civil rights, products liability, land use litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She is an approved arbitrator, mediator and early neutral evaluator in the U. S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, president of the Thornburg Borough Council, and an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Volk has maintained an active employment law and employment litigation practice for more than 30 years. She primarily advises clients and litigates disputes in the areas of employment discrimination, employment contracts and labor-management relations. She has litigated matters before the state and federal courts. She is a member and past board member of the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association and a past officer of the YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh.   Catherine Merino Reisman, an attorney at Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads, has been appointed to the board of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates Inc. COPAA is an independent nonprofit comprised of attorneys, special education advocates and parents. Its mission is to provide a national voice for the special education rights of children with disabilities and to promote excellence in advocacy. Reisman is co-chairwoman of the firm’s special education law practice. Her practice concentrates on education-related counseling and litigation at administrative hearings and in federal court, complex commercial and professional liability litigation, appellate litigation, and employment law. Mariana Rossman, an attorney with Dilworth Paxson, has been named as an adjunct professor at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. It will be Rossman’s second year teaching introduction to trial advocacy. Rossman is a member of the firm’s litigation department as well as its corporate investigations and white-collar group. She focuses her practice in corporate investigations, white-collar defense and complex civil litigation. Speakers Philip J. Katauskas recently participated as a faculty member at a National Institute for Trial Advocacycontinuing legal education program on deposition skills at Georgetown University Law Center. Katauskas is of counsel to the law firm Semanoff Ormsby Greenberg & Torchiain its commercial litigation department, concentrating his practice in the areas of commercial and environmental litigation.   William R. Hinchman, a partner and commercial litigator at Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg & Ellers, participated as a faculty member at the National Institute of Trial AdvocacyMid-Atlantic Deposition Skills Program. The program provides instruction on basic deposition techniques and explored a variety of questioning methods to help navigate the time-sensitive nature of today’s deposition settings. �
