The Journalis “a publication venue for the latest thinking on business and technology issues.” A veteran commercial litigator, Applebaum has published numerous articles on business law. He is also nationally recognized for his work with developing business courts and was recently a featured speaker on this subject at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. Honored Former U.S. District Judge Stephen Orlofsky, a member of Blank Rome, will receive the Camden County Bar Association’smost prestigious honor, the Hon. Peter J. Devine Jr. Award, Feb. 22. The award recognizes outstanding and distinguished service to the association and its members. Orlofsky has a long-standing commitment to the legal profession and has served in a variety of pro bono roles. He currently serves as the vice chairman of the board of directors of legal services of New Jersey Inc., a nonprofit that provides legal services to indigent clients throughout the state of New Jersey. He also is on the board of trustees of the New Jersey Lawyers Assistance Program, which provides free, confidential, professional assistance to attorneys, members of the judiciary, law students and law school graduates on a wide range of concerns and problems. The award was established in 1981 to memorialize and honor the popular judge, who served as president of the Camden County Bar Association from 1967 to 1968. The award is presented annually to a member of the bar. �
