ETHISPHERE INSTITUTE David Laufman has been selected to serve as a member of the Ethisphere Institute’s Government Contracting Ethics and Compliance Methodology Committee. The committee aims to analyze how well government contractors are detecting and preventing fraudulent and unethical behavior in winning and administering government contracts. Laufman is a partner in Kelley Drye & Warren’s Washington office.

GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY LAW CENTER Charles Pruett has been appointed assistant dean for financial aid at Georgetown University Law Center. He succeeds Ruth Lammert-Reeves, who has retired. Pruett joined the financial aid office in 1997 and most recently served as its director.
HISPANIC BAR ASSOCIATION OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA The Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia announced the results of its 2008 elections. Loretta Jean Garcia has been elected president. Marlon Quintanilla Paz is nowpresident-elect. Zuraya Tapia-Alfaro is vice president of external affairs. Kenia Seoane Lopez is vice president of internal affairs. Yamil Jaskille is vice president of membership. Javier Salinas is treasurer. Juanita Hern�ndez is secretary. The association’s new board members are Alvaro Bedoya, Brigida Benitez, Jorge Castro, Jorge Kamine, Jessica Quincosa, Robert Raben, and Armando Rodriguez-Feo. Linda Estrada will continue to serve as the board’s immediate past-president.
KILPATRICK STOCKTON Mark Wincek has been elected to the executive committee of Kilpatrick Stockton. He is a partner in the firm’s corporate department in Washington and is chairman of the employee benefits and compensation team. — Marisa McQuilken
