FRAGOMEN, DEL REY, BERNSEN &LOEWY Two attorneys have been promoted to partner in the Washington office of Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy. Steven Brotherton, 33, was previously a senior attorney. He is now a partner in the export controls practice in D.C. and San Francisco. Brotherton received his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. Howard Gordon, 52, was previously of counsel. He is now a partner in the legal practice and government relations groups in D.C. and New York. Gordon earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School.
JENNER & BLOCK The D.C. office of Jenner & Block has hired a new partner and promoted two associates to partner. Elaine Wolff, 52, joined the firm as a partner in the corporate department, and securities practice. She was previously legal branch chief for the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Corporate Finance. Wolff earned her J.D. at the Hastings College of Law of the University of California. Craig Cowie, 42, was promoted to partner in the firm’s litigation department. He received his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law. Amy Tenney, 33, was promoted to partner in the firm’s litigation department, and white-collar criminal defense and counseling, and products liability and mass tort defense practices. She earned her J.D. from New York Law School.
NELSON MULLINS RILEY & SCARBOROUGH Ron Thomas, 33, has joined the D.C. office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough as special counsel in the government relations and administrative law practices. Thomas was most recently deputy assistant secretary for policy at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Thomas earned his J.D. at the University of South Carolina School of Law.
PATTON BOGGS Three attorneys and one policy adviser have been promoted in Patton Boggs’ Washington office. Alan Dickey, 39, was previously an associate. He is now a partner in the firm’s government contracts, litigation and dispute resolution, and international litigation groups. Dickey received his J.D. from Tulane University Law School. Norma Krayem, 39, was previously a senior policy adviser. She is now a partner-equivalent in the firm’s homeland security, defense, and technology transfer practice, which she also co-chairs. Krayem received her master’s degree in state and local policy from George Washington University. Stephanie Peters, 43, was previously of counsel. She is now a partner in the public policy and lobbying, international, and immigration practices. Peters earned her J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center. Jennifer Zucker, 36, was previously an associate. She is now a partner in the government contracts, homeland security, defense, and technology transfer, and litigation and dispute resolution groups. Zucker earned her J.D. at Brooklyn Law School. — Marisa McQuilken
