FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. � Chicago-based Foley & Lardner is opening a Miami office as part of an expansion jag that has led to new offices in downtown Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, New York and Boston over the last three years. The Miami office will be staffed with nine attorneys moving from the Miami office of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney. Those attorneys are William Davis, Guillermo Fernandez-Quincoces, Leslie Smith, Roy Barquet, Mark Neuberger, Darin Zenov, Alan Seagrave, Laura Ganoza and Christopher Furlan. Their practices concentrate on complex litigation, IP litigation, labor and employment, immigration and international. Foley & Lardner has four other offices in Florida, in Jacksonville, Orlando, Tallahassee and Tampa. Internationally, the firm has offices in Brussels and Tokyo. In a statement, Ralf Boer, Foley’s chairman and CEO, said, “establishing a Miami presence has been a priority for the firm for the past several years because it will provide a strategic platform for our international, corporate and high-end litigation practices and will be a base from which to grow these practices.” Davis, formerly head of litigation practice of Buchanan Ingersoll’s Miami and Aventura offices, will serve as managing partner for Foley’s Miami office. The office will be based in the Bank of America Tower at 100 SE Second St.
