The South Carolina Bar has called on the state's justices to explain why they changed the grades of 20 people -- including children of a judge and legislator -- from "fail" to "pass" on the state bar exam. In an earlier statement, the high court said the pass rate rose after the court tossed out a test section after its clerk learned of a grader's "scoring error." The family ties of some test takers who benefited from the change have prompted questions in blogs and the media about good ol' boy politics.
