Former Georgia Gov. Roy E. Barnes’ firm has suffered a significant setback in its efforts to mount a class action against Atlanta pest control company Rollins Inc. and its subsidiary, Orkin.

The Court of Appeals of Georgia has reversed a Cobb County judge’s decision to certify a class in the case, in which Barnes’ clients claim that Orkin breached its contracts by failing to provide termite inspections. The class would have included customers who entered into contracts between 1995 and 2006.
