Lisa A. Hogan has rejoined Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck as a shareholder in its Denver office. Hogan, a member of the litigation group, originally joined the firm in 1988 after serving as the district attorney of Denver. She was one of the lawyers representing United Air Lines in a case before the U.S. Supreme Court involving the Americans with Disabilities Act. The case, Sutton v. United Air Lines, 527 U.S. 471 (1999), involved identical twins with poor eyesight who sued United after being denied pilot positions. Hogan rejoins Brownstein Hyatt after serving for two years as vice president of litigation at Level 3 Communications Inc., where she managed outside litigation related to the company’s strategic acquisitions. Earlier this month, Brownstein Hyatt, which is based in Denver, agreed to merge with Hatch & Parent of Santa Barbara, Calif. The merger is expected to be effective on Jan. 1, 2008.
