Average starting salaries for attorneys are expected to rise 5.4% in 2008, according to Robert Half Legal. First-year associates at firms with 75 attorneys or more will see the biggest gain of 9.1%, to the range of $111,750 to $137,000 annually, the staffing company predicts. Attorneys with one to three years of experience at large law firms can expect to earn between $114,000 and $147,500 each year, an 8.2% increase over 2007 projections. Senior attorneys with 10 or more years of experience at large firms will see starting salaries climb by 7.9%, to the range of $167,500 to $234,000 annually. The figures are part of Robert Half Legal’s annual Salary Guide.
