Washington’s Covington & Burling has added Ellen R. Eliasoph as senior of counsel to its headquarters, where she will help U.S. and European clients navigate the Asian regulatory market. Eliasoph, who spent 16 years in Asia with Warner Bros. Entertainment, will continue to work for Warner Bros. to help manage its Chinese language film production business. In addition to her experience at Warner Bros., she worked as a private practicioner in China and Japan. The Yale Law School alumna is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Japanese. “I am very pleased to be joining Covington & Burling to spearhead and accelerate the firm’s expanding reach into Asia,” Eliasoph said in a news release. Covington & Burling has more than 650 lawyers in five worldwide offices.
