BOSTON — Boston law firm Sherin and Lodgen absorbed real estate boutique Kaitz + Associates late last month. The four Kaitz lawyers bring Sherin and Lodgen’s headcount to 48 attorneys. Kaitz also brought its strong client roster, including retailers Home Depot Inc. and PetSmart Inc. and real estate company National Development of Newton Lower Falls, Mass. Sherin and Lodgen represents national, regional and local retailers, developers and property owners and managers. Richard “Rick” Kaitz is now a partner at Sherin and Lodgen, and three other Kaitz attorneys joined as of counsel: Lisa Avery-Peck, Paula Curry and Jane Thomassen. “This move allows us to offer our clients a broader menu of sophisticated transactional legal services, such as corporate structuring and restructuring, finance, taxation, permitting and affordable housing expertise,” Kaitz said.
