Cooley Godward Kronish has welcomed two new partners to its New York office but has also lost one to a rival.

Laura Grossfield Birger, the former chief of the general crimes unit at the Southern District U.S. Attorney’s Office, will join the firm as a litigation partner with a focus on white-collar criminal defense.
