But when posts about administrators who got hefty pay raises turned nasty, the stage was set for litigation. The administrators' attorney has filed a bill of discovery against Google, which hosts the SCSU blog, as one step toward a planned defamation suit. The case is just the latest challenging what bloggers can say and whether they must forfeit their anonymity.
