The Houston Bar Association has received the State Bar of Texas’ Award of Merit for Best Large Bar Association and the Star of Achievement Award for its Equal Access Initiative, which increased the number of cases handled through the association’s Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program. The Austin Bar Association received the Award of Merit for Best Mid-Sized Bar Association and the State Bar’s Certificate of Merit for its Legal Build project in cooperation with Habitat for Humanity.
