BOSTON Ten lawyers are departing from Boston’s Donovan Hatem to launch LeClair Ryan’s Boston office. The group of nine former Donovan partners and one of counsel are all joining the Richmond, Va.-headquartered LeClair as partners. The new group will help LeClair clients with construction litigation, professional defense, products liability and financial services matters, said LeClair chairman Gary D. LeClair. “This represents an excellent opportunity for our clients to have a much greater depth of representation in a significant financial market,” LeClair said. Kevin Kenneally, who previously chaired Donovan’s health care litigation group and insurance & tort litigation practice groups, will lead the new office. Neil Hartzell, the chairman of Donavan’s business litigation group, is also jumping to LeClair. Other new LeClair lawyers are litigators Paul G. Boylan, Michael P. Giunta, Jay S. Gregory, Warren D. Hutchison and Michael B. Weinberg and professional malpractice defense litigator Jeffrey L. Alitz. Janet Barringer Pezzulich, who specializes in insurance and tort litigation and government relations lawyer Christopher J. Supple, who was of counsel at Donovan, round out the team. LeClair has more than 150 attorneys in Boston, New York, Virginia and Washington. The firm’s Boston office opens in the financial district on July 23.
