Shares of Apple Inc. jumped in trading Monday as hype surrounding the upcoming release of the company’s much-anticipated iPhone continued to drive up the stock’s price.
Apple shares gained $3.41, or 2.8 percent, to $123.91 in morning trading.
Apple touts up to eight hours' talk time on non-replaceable batteries that will be shipped with the iPhone. Alternative playback modes offer seven hours of video or 24 hours of audio but analyst Shaw Wu indicates that power users may only expect four to five hours of heavy use.
