A Manhattan federal judge has rebuked a Dorsey & Whitney partner for supposedly trying to circumvent a protective order on documents obtained in discovery.

In a sharply worded decision issued Thursday, Southern District of New York Judge Harold Baer said he would rule at a later date on a motion to sanction the partner, Kristan L. Peters. He advised her for now to attend a June 17 continuing legal education course titled “Ethical Bounds of Aggressive Litigation.”
