Seyfarth Shaw’s Boston office hired three intellectual property lawyers from Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels and one from intellectual property boutique Cesari and McKenna. Brian L. Michaelis, Thomas M. Saunders and John C. Serio have joined Seyfarth as partners from Brown Rudnick, where Michaelis was co-chair of the intellectual property practice group, Saunders was a partner and Serio was a senior counsel. Joseph P. Quinn, who was previously an associate with Cesari and McKenna, is now of counsel at Seyfarth. Seyfarth has nearly tripled the number of patent attorneys and agents during the past year, said Alan L. Unikel, a Chicago-based partner who co-chairs the firm’s intellectual property group. “The addition of these significantly experienced lawyers will enhance and strengthen Seyfarth Shaw’s established national IP practice,” Unikel said.
