The partner in the corner office down the hall from me is an important man, and anyone who walks past his doorway knows it.
It’s not just because his office has a 180-degree view of the city and his wife has decorated it with hand-spun rugs from Argentina and custom-made leather chairs. His importance is magnified for all to hear by his constant use of the speakerphone.
