NEW POSITIONS . . . William T. “Chip” Cavanaugh Jr., a shareholder in the Dallas office of Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, has been named chairman of the firm’s real estate practice. . . . Juan F. Rick Perry to the Texas Public Safety Commission for a term to expire Dec. 31, 2009. Polunsky is managing partner and founder of Polunsky & Beitel. Kurt Kuhn, a partner in Brown McCarroll in Austin who is co-chairman of the appellate practice group, has been named to the board of the American Red Cross of Central Texas. . . . William Frank Carroll, a shareholder in Winstead in Dallas, has been appointed by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization to a three-year term on the Civil Trial Law Exam Commission.
