What does it mean to be a woman in the world of law? How can female attorneys foster work-life balance? And what gender-related obstacles are still out there?
Those questions were the focus of a lively conference held at Yale Law School on March 31, which drew approximately 250 attendees. Entitled “Legally Female: What Does It Mean to Be Ms. JD?”, the conference — a collaboration between Yale Law Women and Ms. JD, a blog that explores the status of women in the legal profession — was the first of its kind to focus on the experiences and challenges of women in law.
