DLA Piper, which has 62 offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East and Asia but none in Central or South America, has launched a Latin America Initiative led by two lawyers in its Dallas office.

Dallas partner Michael Santa Maria and counsel Todd Bowers — both do cross-border deals — lead the initiative, which the 3,200-lawyer firm announced on March 26.
