A diagnostic imaging company has filed a class action suit in Florida’s Palm Beach Circuit Court against Progressive American Insurance, alleging the auto insurer systematically underpaid medical providers in violation of the state Personal Injury Protection law.

The two-count suit, filed by Delray Beach, Fla.-based MRI Associates of America on behalf of all others similarly situated, alleges 11 Progressive-affiliated companies have not followed the statutory guidelines when paying for magnetic resonance imaging services. Progressive is headquartered near Cleveland.
