Six defendants imprisoned since 2001 for their roles in a high-profile South Florida viatical scam will get a chance to have their sentences reduced.

The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with defense lawyers and remanded the cases of Juan Arroya, Wanda Tirado, Garland Hogan, Gary Pierce, Zane Balsam and Alan Richard Lewis for resentencing.
