A federal jury last month awarded more than $2.3 million in actual and punitive damages to a South Georgia man who claimed his former employer harassed him for testifying against the company in a contract dispute.
John W. Odum was working for a division of Jacksonville, Fla.-based Rayonier Inc. as a purchaser for the company’s timber-procurement operation out of Jesup, Ga., when he was called upon to testify in a civil action brought against his employer.
