Robin Weisman has left Washington to spin on Wall Street. The former Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld counsel was named the director of government relations for Nasdaq. Weisman declined to comment, but a news release touting the hire says she “will represent the views and policies of Nasdaq to federal, state, and local policymakers.” At Akin Gump, Weisman worked in the public law and policy practice. “We’re sorry to see her go. But we have a relationship with Nasdaq and look forward to working with her in the future,” says Rick Burdick, managing partner of Akin Gump’s D.C. office.
