A NEWBORN SHOULD TAKE PRIORITY OVER DEAL

I do not know what is most troubling about the “Silicon Scene” regarding a Pills-bury partner leaving his newborn to finish a deal ["It's a boy! Now where are those merger papers?", Sept. 14]: Is it the lawyer who felt that closing the deal was more im-portant than experiencing his son’s first few days in the world, or the firm that placed a higher value on his role in the transaction rather than his role as a father? Deals are forgotten. Childbirth is priceless.
