New partners Baker & Daniels (Indianapolis): Nicholas E. Mathioudakis joins the emerging companies and private capital group as a partner in the firm’s Indianapolis office. He was previously co-founder and managing director of JMM Ventures LLC. Choate, Hall & Stewart (Boston): Karen Faulds Copenhaver joins the business and technology group as partner. She was previously general counsel for Black Duck Software Inc. in Waltham, Mass. Before that, she was a partner in the patent and intellectual property law department at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault. Miles & Stockbridge (Baltimore): Gianna Julian Arnold joins the biotechnology practice as partner. She was previously senior counsel to the Washington office of New York’s Epstein Becker & Green. Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe: Russell Duncan joins the securities litigation and enforcement practice as partner in the firm’s Washington office. He was previously an assistant chief litigation counsel in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement. New counsel Akerman Senterfitt (Orlando, Fla.): Leigh Ann Murvin joins the real estate group as of counsel to the firm’s Orlando office. Oblon, Spivak, McClelland, Maier & Neustadt (Alexandria, Va.): Beth A. Chapman comes on board as of counsel.
