New partners Fowler White Boggs Banker (Tampa, Fla.): Craig D. Varn joins the environmental and land use practice group as partner in the firm’s Tallahassee, Fla., office. He was most recently an intergovernmental relations coordinator at the Florida Department of Community Affairs in Tallahassee. Jenner & Block (Chicago): Andrew Weissmann joins the corporate compliance and internal investigations practice as partner in the firm’s New York office. Previously chief of the criminal division at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, Weissmann also served as director of the Department of Justice’s Enron Task Force, and as special counsel to FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III. New counsel Garvey Schubert Barer (Seattle): David W. Gee returns as of counsel to the firm’s home office. Previously executive vice president and general counsel of Unilab Corp., Gee was most recently a name partner at Bartel Droste & Gee. New arrivals Fulbright & Jaworski (Houston): Five attorneys join the corporate department in the firm’s Minneapolis office-as partners, Joseph Kinning, Girard Miller and Jeffrey Saunders; as counsel, Amy Dahl; and as senior associate, Rebecca Sandberg. Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges (Los Angeles): Robert Raskopf joins the intellectual property practice as partner in the firm’s New York office.
