SAN FRANCISCO Christa Shaw has joined Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass as an associate in the real estate practice group. Shaw, who was deputy attorney general in the natural resources section of the California AG’s office, graduated from UCLA School of Law in 2001. SOUTH BAY First-year associates Christina Uichanco and Karen Kaufman have joined Fernandez & Associates in Menlo Park. Both belong to the technology licensing advisory group. Uichanco, who previously worked for a law firm in the Philippines, received her J.D. from Ateneo de Manila University School of Law and LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. Kaufman, who was a student scholar at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Associates Michael Adams, Jennifer Brown, Matthew Chang, Scott Cwiertny, Bob Hagle, William Ihrke and Shawn Larsen have joined Rutan & Tucker in Costa Mesa. Adams, a member of the trial section, is a 1996 graduate of Stanford Law School. Brown, who belongs to the public law section, graduated from Boston College Law School in 1998. Chang, in the corporate/securities section, received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 1998. Cwiertny, who is with the real estate section, graduated from Loyola Law School in 2001. Hagle, in the real estate section, is a 1987 graduate of Hastings College of the Law. Ihrke, in the public law section, received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 1999. Larsen, who is with the labor and employment department, graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1999.
