Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman may have found ways to meld practice groups and clients, but one thing didn’t survive the merger: the art. The firm will host an auction next week for approximately 250 pieces from the former Shaw Pittman’s Washington, Virginia, and New York offices, as well as from Pillsbury’s D.C. outpost. Among the highest-valued prints: Edward Curtis’ “The North American Indian,” valued at $17,500; Peter Loftus’ “Morning Calm,” at $20,000; Paul Rickert’s “Station Midday,” at $20,000; and one partner’s “Weeping Paralegal,” for $500. (All right, that last one’s a joke.) “When we moved in, it was almost 20 years ago,” says Perry Dyck, Pillsbury’s operations coordinator. “We had a lot of old dark wood, and now we have a really new look that is kind of contemporary.”
