D.C. litigation boutique Spriggs & Hollingsworth may have lost 11 attorneys and roughly $6 million in business over the past month when two groups jumped ship. But Joe Hollingsworth, a founding partner at the 23-year-old firm, says he’s not worried. “Our firm is growing and I feel better about it now than I have in the past,” Hollingsworth says of the now 57-lawyer firm. On Aug 1, an eight-attorney construction group jumped to Birmingham-based Bradley Arant Rose & White. Last month a pair of litigators and a contract attorney moved to Greenberg Traurig. Robert Shapiro, one of the attorneys who left for Greenberg Traurig, says the departures, while amicable, came as the firm began narrowing its focus to toxic torts � an area that has been its most profitable.
