BINGHAM MCCUTCHEN Bingham McCutchen has added four intellectual property partners, all from Burns, Doane, Swecker & Mathis. R. Danny Huntington, 55, is former chairman of Burns, Doane. He graduated from George Washington University Law School. Jeff Boggs, 45, is a former member of Burns, Doane’s executive committee. He, too, graduated from George Washington University Law School. Sharon Crane, 42, focuses on patent interference. She also graduated from George Washington University Law School. Malcolm McGowan, 42, focuses on IP law in relation to biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. He graduated from Georgetown University Law Center. BUCHANAN INGERSOLL Buchanan Ingersoll has added three new members. Former Rep. William Gray III (D-Pa.) joins the firm as head of public policy and diversity. Most recently Gray, 63, was chairman of the Amani Group. Jon Plebani, 56, joins as a director in the federal government relations practice. Most recently, he was executive vice president for the Amani Group. Justin Gray, 30, also joins as a director in the federal government relations practice. He was president and chief operating officer of the Amani Group. CURTIS, MALLET-PREVOST, COLT & MOSLE Bryan Elwood, 37, has joined Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle as counsel specializing in international trade and market access. Before joining the firm, he was chief international trade counsel for the Embassy of Mexico in the United States. He graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana A.C. in Mexico City and earned an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. DLA PIPER RUDNICK GRAY CARY Edward Schwartz has joined DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary as a partner in the government affairs practice group. Schwartz, 47, formerly a partner at Howrey, received his J.D. from Boston College Law School. DRINKER BIDDLE & REATH John Smith, 41, has joined Drinker Biddle & Reath as a partner in the intellectual property practice group. Formerly a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, Smith earned his law degree from George Washington University Law School. HOLLAND & KNIGHT Kathryn Lehman, former chief of staff at the House Republican Conference, has joined Holland & Knight as a partner in the public policy and regulation practice. Lehman, 45, graduated from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. KELLY LAW REGISTRY Trish Alatorre-Ridings, 45, has joined Kelly Law Registry as managing director. She previously was a manager at Henderson Legal Services. MAHONEY & MAHONEY Peter Jeffrey, 34, has joined Mahoney & Mahoney as an associate. Most recently, he was president of the American Federation of Government Employees Local C-260, and he graduated from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. MORRISON & FOERSTER Daniel Westman, 48, has joined the labor and employment practice of Morrison & Foerster as a partner in the Northern Virginia office. Formerly a partner at Shaw Pittman, he received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. O’MELVENY & MYERS O’Melveny & Myers has added four new partners. Thomas Donilon, 50, rejoins the firm as a partner in the strategic counseling practice. Formerly executive vice president for law and policy and secretary to the board of directors for Fannie Mae, Donilon earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. Bob Carney, 58, joins as a partner in the tax practice focusing on federal tax issues and Internal Revenue Service controversy resolution. Formerly national director of IRS tax controversy services at Ernst & Young, he received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Christine Wilson, 35, joins as a partner focusing on antitrust and trade regulation and international competition law and policy. Formerly chief of staff to the chairman of the Federal Trade Commission, she received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Brian Boyle, 44, also rejoins the firm as a partner after serving as principal deputy associate attorney general. He graduated from Harvard Law School. She received her J.D. from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. SODEXHO INC. Bonnie Green has been promoted from senior attorney to assistant general counsel at Sodexho. Green, 41, received her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law. SPIEGEL & MCDIARMID Spiegel & McDiarmid has added two of counsel. TILLMAN LAY focuses on telecommunications and cable television matters. He was senior counsel and led the telecommunications practice at Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone. Lay, 49, received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. Paul Connor, 48, joins the environmental practice group and serves as executive director of the National Association of Local Government Environmental Professionals, a Spiegel & McDiarmid client. Charles Hunnicutt, 54, joins as a partner in the transportation, governmental law, and international practices. Brent Connor, 42, joins as of counsel focusing on aviation, maritime, international trade, base closure, privatization, and government contracts. Scott Diamond, 41, joins as a legislative and regulatory policy adviser, managing client issues on agricultural trade, export compliance, economic sanctions, aviation, and maritime transportation.
