San Francisco Harold Joneshas joined Severson & Wersonas an attorney specializing in class action defense and financial services litigation. Jones, who was previously an associate with Lafayette & Kumagai, is a 2000 graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law. Nanci Clarenceof Clarence & Dyerand Martha Boerschof Jones Dayhave been named fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Clarence, who previously worked as an associate at Morrison & Foerster and later as an assistant federal public defender, graduated from Hastings College of the Law in 1985. Her practice focuses on general criminal defense, including white collar and related civil cases. Boersch, a 1986 graduate of Boalt Hall School of Law, joined Jones Day after 12 years with the U. S. attorney’s office in San Francisco. She works in the firm’s corporate criminal investigations group. P. Rupert Russelland Michele Waynehave joined Shartsis, Friese& Ginsburg’s corporate group. Russell, joining the firm as a partner, is a 1980 graduate of Oxford University, England. Wayne, joining as an associate, received her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 2000. Both previously practiced at Morrison & Foerster. South Bay Cooley Godwardhas added John Haleas a partner in the firm’s credit finance group in Palo Alto. Hale, who was recently a partner at DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary, is a 1982 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School. Anthony Fulcherhas joined the Santa Clara Valley Water District as assistant district counsel. Fulcher previously served as corporate counsel for Responsys Inc. of Silicon Valley. He is a 1997 graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law. Southern California Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flomhas elevated two to partnership in its Los Angeles office. David Eismanand Rick Maddenboth work in the firm’s corporate department. Eisman is a 1993 graduate of UCLA School of Law; Madden graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1995. Three attorneys have joined Lambda Legal Defense and EducationFund’s Western Regional Office in Los Angeles. Amber Garza, a 2001 graduate of Stanford Law School, specialized in domestic violence prosecution as a deputy district attorney in Riverside. Brian Chase, who has been with Lambda Legal since 2002, received his J.D. from Tulane University Law School.
