AKIN GUMP STRAUSS HAUER & FELD Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has elected 16 partners, two in the firm’s D.C. office. Michael Fitzpatrick, 39, formerly counsel, is a member of the firm’s litigation practice. Fitzpatrick’s practice focuses on litigation, white collar criminal defense, congressional investigations, and regulatory law and policy. He received his J.D. from Stanford Law School. Brian Gleicher, 35, formerly counsel, is a member of the firm’s tax practice. He focuses on tax controversies, including the representation of corporate and individual taxpayers in tax examinations and settlement negotiations with the Internal Revenue Service. He also handles international tax matters, with an emphasis on transfer pricing and tax treaty issues. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Jane Tam, 39, a former senior counsel, is a member of the business law section in the D.C. office. David Black, 35, a former associate, is a member of the firm’s litigation section in its Northern Virginia office. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. KILPATRICK STOCKTON Kilpatrick Stockton has added three environmental attorneys from Baise & Miller. Gary Baise, 63, founding partner at Baise & Miller, joins Kilpatrick as of counsel. He received his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington. Alexander Bullock, 44, also joins as of counsel, focusing on environmental litigation. He earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and his LL.M. from George Washington University Law School. Stewart Fried, 35, joins as an associate focusing on litigation and dispute resolution matters. He earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law. McKENNA LONG & ALDRIDGE McKenna Long & Aldridge elected 10 partners, three of whom are in the firm’s D.C. office. Rel Ambrozy, 43, focuses his intellectual property practice on patent litigation. He received his J.D. from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law and his M.S. in biomedical engineering from the University of Miami. Cass Christenson, 35, is a member of the firm’s litigation practice, where he focuses on complex commercial cases involving intellectual property, insurance, regulatory, and other matters. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. Donna Donlon, 34, is a member of the firm’s litigation practice. She focuses on commercial litigation, with particular emphasis on antitrust matters and class action litigation. Donlon earned her J.D. from William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law. O’MELVENY & MYERS O’Melveny & Myers elected two new partners. Elizabeth Baird, 45, is a member of the firm’s litigation department. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Pamela Harris, 42, is also a member of the firm’s litigation department. She received her J.D. from Yale Law School. Daniel Troy, 45, partner and former Food and Drug Administration chief counsel, has joined the firm’s life sciences practice as well its appellate litigation group. He is a graduate of Columbia Law School. Coleen Klasmeier, 33, former special assistant to the chief counsel at the FDA, has joined the firm’s life sciences practice as a counsel. She focuses on policy, regulatory, and litigation matters affecting the pharmaceutical, medical device, and food industries. She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law. SONNENSCHEIN NATH & ROSENTHAL Zenas Choi, 32, has joined Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal’s D.C. office as an associate in its communications and media practice. Choi comes to Sonnenschein from the legal department of America Online, where he was an in-house counsel for corporate and regulatory affairs. He earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law. U.S. DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY John Giordano, 30, has been appointed senior adviser to the Department of Energy’s Office of the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board. He was previously an associate at DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary. He received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law. WHITE & CASE Delbert “Chip” Terrill Jr., 57, has joined White & Case as counsel. Previously, he was an administrative law judge at the U.S. International Trade Commission. A retired commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, Terrill holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. WILLIAMS & CONNOLLY Williams & Connolly elected five new partners. Edward Bennett, 40, focuses on representing individuals and companies in government investigations, conducting internal corporate investigations, and representing individuals and entities involved in professional liability, securities, and other complex civil litigation. Thomas Ward, 33, specializes in complex litigation with an expertise in securities law, intellectual property, and professional liability defense. He graduated from Columbia Law School. WINSTEAD, SECHREST & MINICK Legislative and regulatory attorney James Bayless Jr., 53, has joined Winstead, Sechrest & Minick as a partner in its government relations practice.
