HOLLAND & KNIGHT Holland & Knight announces the addition of two new partners and a senior counsel. Thomas Hart Jr., 47, has joined the firm as a partner. Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Hart was a partner with Shook, Hardy & Bacon. He earned his J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center. Peter Murphy has also joined the firm as a partner. Murphy, 59, joins the legislative and regulatory practice after serving as general counsel of the U.S. Marine Corps. He received his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law. Amy Starzynski, 37, joins the firm as senior counsel on the education policy team. Most recently, she was the chief operating officer of the Georgia Department of Education. She earned her J.D. at Georgia State University College of Law. LATHAM & WATKINS Julian Kim, 37, has rejoined Latham & Watkins as partner, where he will resume his tax controversy and client counseling practice. Most recently, Kim served as acting deputy tax legislative counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. PATTON BOGGS Patton Boggs announces the promotion of four associates in the D.C. office to partner. Kathryn Hambrick concentrates on business law, domestic and international transactions, and federal taxation. Hambrick, 38, earned her J.D. at the College of William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law and her LL.M in taxation at Georgetown University Law Center. Christopher Hellmich, 37, focuses on complex commercial matters. He received his law degree from Creighton University School of Law. David Tafuri, 34, focuses on commercial and transactional litigation, international dispute resolution, white collar criminal litigation, and public policy. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Edward Wisneski, 36, concentrates on civil litigation involving complex commercial matters, product liability, and business torts. He received his law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law. SONNENSCHEIN NATH & ROSENTHAL Karen Litsinger, 35, has joined Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal as a partner in the corporate and securities practice. Most recently, Litsinger was vice president and associate general counsel at America Online Inc. She graduated from Georgetown University Law Center. SPRIGGS & HOLLINGSWORTH Spriggs & Hollingsworth announces the addition of two associates in the toxic torts and products liability group. Robert Lichenstein, 41, concentrates on complex litigation, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical products liability, environmental, and toxic tort matters. Most recently, he was an associate with Maynard, Cooper & Gale in Birmingham, Ala. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. Jeffrey Dickey, 28, received his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law. Most recently, he was a law clerk for Justice A. William Maupin of the Nevada Supreme Court. VENABLE Todd Harrison has joined Venable as a partner. Harrison, 42, counsels producers and distributors of over-the-counter drugs, cosmetics, dietary supplements, functional foods, and medical foods. He also represents manufacturers on product labeling issues before the Food and Drug Administration. Most recently, he was a partner at Buchanan Ingersoll.
