ALSTON & BIRD Marc Scheineson has joined Alston & Bird as a partner in the health care practice. Most recently he was a partner at Reed Smith, where he was the head of the food and drug practice. Scheineson, 48, received his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. ANDERSON KILL & OLICK Michele Gallagher has been promoted to partner at Anderson Kill & Olick. Gallagher, 37, specializes in insurance coverage counseling and litigation on behalf of policyholders. She graduated from George Washington University Law School. CROWELL & MORING Crowell & Moring announces four new additions: Jeffrey Blumenfeld, 56, has joined the firm as a partner in the antitrust practice. He was most recently a partner with Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich. He received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Peter White has joined the firm as a partner from Hunton & Williams. His practice focuses on white collar defense. White, 40, graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law. Clifford Zatz has joined the firm’s litigation group as a partner from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. His practice focuses on toxic tort and product liability cases. Zatz, 49, graduated from Duke University School of Law. David Naseman, 55, has joined the firm as senior counsel. He was most recently a partner with Gray Cary. He received his J.D. from Tulane University Law School. GOULSTON & STORRS Dennis Moyer, 52, has joined Goulston & Storrs as a partner in its real estate practice. Most recently, he was the managing partner of the Northern Virginia office of Hogan & Hartson. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. GREENFIELD/BELSER Greenfield/Belser has named Rachael Loper, 36, as its first director of marketing. Previously, Loper was an account manager. Greenfield/Belser is a branding firm specializing in law firm marketing. JAMS Jack Hanna, 54, the former director of the Dispute Resolution Section of the American Bar Association, has been named business manager of JAMS, an alternative dispute resolution provider. Hanna will handle the day-to-day management of the D.C.-based center. He received his J.D. from University of South Carolina School of Law. JENNER & BLOCK Catherine Nolan has left her namesake firm to become a partner at Jenner & Block, where she will start the firm’s legislative practice. Nolan, 52, received her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law. KIRKPATRICK & LOCKHART Michael King has joined Kirkpatrick & Lockhart as a partner in the securities enforcement and financial services practice groups. Most recently King, 48, was with Clifford Chance. He graduated from American University Washington College of Law. Odin, Feldman & Pittleman Stephen Shannon, 31, has joined Odin, Feldman & Pittleman as an associate. Shannon is a first-term state delegate in the Virginia General Assembly and is a former assistant commonwealth attorney for Fairfax County. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. OLSSON, FRANK & WEEDA John Block, 69, former secretary of agriculture under President Ronald Reagan, has joined Olsson, Frank and Weeda’s legislative practice as a senior government affairs adviser. In addition, he will also continue to serve as the president of the wholesale division of the Food Marketing Institute. POWELL, GOLDSTEIN Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy announces two additions to its energy practice and one new hire in its government relations practice. Richard Drom joins the firm as a partner. He will lead the energy practice. Most recently, he was a partner at Troutman Sanders. Drom, 50, received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School. Michael Kessler, 50, also joins the firm as of counsel in the energy practice. He was also most recently with Troutman Sanders. He received his J.D. from Vermont Law School. Jason Dedwylder, 26, joins the firm as a lobbyist. Most recently, he was a legislative assistant for Rep. Charles Pickering Jr. (R-Miss). TROUTMAN SANDERS Deborah Tang, 25, has joined Troutman Sanders as an associate in the Tysons Corner, Va., office. Tang is a member of the lending and structured finance group.
