The Recorder‘s article dated April 8, 2004, entitled “Oakland officials in tizzy over leaked memo,” could have left some readers with the impression that the complaint which I filed before the Oakland Public Ethics Commission accused a particular person of leaking the memo. That is not the case. The complaint called for a full investigation and stated that the person who may be responsible is “any elected or appointed city official or city employee in any other agency, office or department of the city who received the memorandum from the Office of the City Attorney, including members of the City Council.” Gary Sirbu Oakland
