D.C. LAND TITLE ASSOCIATION The District of Columbia Land Title Association has elected David Cox, a partner in D.C.’s Jackson & Campbell, as its president. Cox previously served as the vice president of the DCLTA, which represents the title insurance industry. DUNWODY DISTINGUISHED LECTURE Georgetown University Law Center professor Viet Dinh recently delivered the 2004 Dunwody Distinguished Lecture in Law at the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law. Every year, the Florida Law Review invites a legal scholar to speak about important legal or social issues. Dinh’s presentation was entitled “Nationalism in the Age of Terror.” SKADDEN FELLOWS Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom selected 28 graduating law students and outgoing judicial clerks to participate in its 2004 fellowship program. The fellows provide civil legal assistance in a two-year program funded by the firm’s fellowship foundation. Five fellows will work in the Washington, D.C., area. Nicole De Sario (Harvard Law School) will work at the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia; James Freeman (Harvard) will work at the Advancement Project; Trisha Miller (Stanford Law School) will work at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law; Delicia Reynolds (American University Washington College of Law) will work at Just Neighbors Ministry Inc. in Arlington, Va.; and Elizabeth Keyes (Georgetown University Law Center) will work at CASA of Maryland in Takoma Park, Md. — Christine Hines Please send notices of D.C.-area honors or appointments to Christine Hines at [email protected].
