VOL. 2, NO. 196 DECISIONS RELEASED NOVEMBER 7, 1994 LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT – PUBLIC ASSISTANCE 25-2-4273 Donald Stankowski v. Dep’t of Human Servs. Div. of Family Dev., (3 pp.) Where employee left his job over a dispute about vacation time, the director properly held that employee’s household was ineligible to receive food stamps for 90 days since he had left his employment without good cause. LAND USE 26-2-4274 Borough of Palisades Park v. Sransky Trucking, App. Div. (2 pp.) Where company sued the borough on an adverse possession claim, trial court properly held that the company’s claim did not qualify for the exception set forth in Devins v. Borough of Bogota, 124 N.J. 570 (1991) which abrogated the rule that adverse possession does not apply to government-owned property. EDITOR’S NOTE: The Alert will not be published tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 8, 1994, since courts are closed.
