Speakers Martin Banks Pond Lehockey & Wilson founder and chairman George Martin is scheduled to be a featured lecturer at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s flagship course on workers’ compensation today at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Participants in the program will receive four continuing legal education credits. The firm’s attorney Matthew L. Wilson is also a member of the course planning committee for the seminar. Martin focuses his practice in all areas of workers’ compensation, including litigation, subrogation and compliance matters. Wilson, a partner of the firm, also concentrates in workers’ compensation. On Friday, March 26, Theresa E. Loscalzo, a partner at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis and co-chairwoman of the firm’s e-commerce and high technology litigation practice group, will serve as the sole presenter at Protecting Your Company from Internet-Related Litigation, a seminar sponsored by the MidAtlantic Employers’ Association and held at the MEA conference center in Valley Forge. Loscalzo will address the building blocks of a sound technology policy, including employers’ rights when accessing employee e-mails and issues related to intellectual property, antitrust, harassment, discrimination and privacy. Loscalzo focuses her practice on large and complex litigations, including the representation of plaintiffs and defendants in litigation involving e-commerce, professional liability, securities and antitrust, and financial institution litigation. Anapol Schwartz Weiss Cohan Feld-man & Smalley attorney Kevin I. Lovitz will speak at the Epilepsy Found-ation of Greater Philadelphia’s upcoming Epilepsy Wellness Fair on Saturday, March 27, at the Holiday Inn on City Line Ave. in Philadelphia. The fair is a half-day conference providing information about epilepsy, seizures and treatment for people both affected by and living with epilepsy. Lovitz’s speech, titled “Employment Law” will discuss how the law protects people from having to disclose epilepsy to employers, options of legal recourse for dismissal for failure to disclose, and limitations an employer can place upon an employee working alone if employee has active seizures. A member of the firm, Lovitz concentrates his practice in employment discrimination and wrongful discharge. Elected and Appointed Ralph J. Luongo and Marc L. Bogutz have been elected to the six-member board of directors of Christie Pabarue Mortensen & Young. Luongo focuses his practice on insurance coverage and defense of insurers and insureds in complex commercial and personal injury matters. Bogutz chairs the firm’s professional liability group and concentrates his practice on the representation of attorneys and other professionals in professional liability litigation. Louis Coffey, of counsel to Wolf Block Schorr & Solis-Cohen and a member of both the American Arbitration Association’s complex case panel and CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution’s panel of distinguished neutrals, has been named to CPR’s specialized panel on sports law. Coffey focuses in the structuring, design, development, financing, construction and operation of multi-purpose, mixed-use stadium and arena facilities.
