In novel The Life of Pi, the protagonist survives being stranded with a Bengal tiger through courage, stamina and resourcefulness. It's a story that holds lessons for those of us who work as legal administrators. We work to earn the respect of our partners and to be treated as equals, but are often treated as second-class citizens. Fear can be a pitfall for a law firm administrator who worries too much about job security. But, it can be overcome, if, like Pi, you keep cool, focused and have confidence.
