New Associate Semanoff Ormsby Greenberg & Torchia has announced that Gabrielle J. Sellei has become associated with the firm. Sellei will concentrate her practice in commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities matters, and general corporate law. Speakers Andrew J. Bellwoar of Siana Bellwoar & McAndrew was a speaker at a seminar titled Use of Force in Pennsylvania on Feb. 19 in Philadelphia. Campbell and the Superior Court’s recent decision in Hollock v. Erie Insurance Exchange. Elected and Appointed Adelman Lavine Gold & Levin has announced that William R. Hinchman has become a shareholder. The firm has also announced that Alan I. Moldoff and Kathleen E. Torbit have become principals. Carolyn P. Short, a partner at Reed Smith, was scheduled to be inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers at the organization’s spring meeting on March 6 in Phoenix. Event Masterman and Overbrook high schools will meet head to head to debate a fictional case involving an autistic high school student accused of stealing a car at the city championships of the 24th annual John S. Bradway High School Mock Trial Competition on Saturday, March 13, at the National Constitution Center, 525 Arch St. The trial, which runs from 1 to 3 p.m., will be presided over by attorney and radio talk show host Michael Smerconish and a 20-member jury that includes Temple Law School Dean Robert Reinstein; James Beasley Sr., founder, and James Beasley Jr., partner, The Beasley Firm; Gabriel Bevilacqua, chancellor, Philadelphia Bar Association; Judge Rayford Means, Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas; and other leading area legal professionals. The winning team will go on to compete for the Pennsylvania championship at the end of the month in Harrisburg.
