Novartis to Acquire Mead Johnson Nutrition Business for $385M Novartis, a Swiss pharmaceutical house with North American headquarters in East Hanover, announced Dec. 16 it would acquire the Mead Johnson & Co. adult medical nutrition business for $385 million. Mead Johnson is a subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb, whose research headquarters are in Princeton. Pinnacle to Pay $76M to Acquire Former Maxwell House Plant Pinnacle Downtown, a subsidiary of Pinnacle, Ltd. of Millburn, agreed on Dec. 10 to pay $76 million to Gotham Partners, a New York City investment manager, for the former Maxwell House plant in Hoboken. Pinnacle, a real estate development and investment company, will demolish the former manufacturing and distribution facility to make way for housing, retail and office space. Magic Solutions Selling for $47M to Houston IT Service Manager On Dec. 15, BMC Software Inc., of Houston, Texas, announced its intended acquisition of Magic Solutions Inc. of Paramus, a division of Network Associates Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., for $47 million in cash. Magic Solutions is a developer and wholesaler of help-desk and asset-management software. The deal is subject to customary conditions, including Hart-Scott-Rodino anti-trust clearance. Nassau Broadcasting Pays $18.3M for Mariner Music Radio Network Nassau Broadcasting Holdings of Princeton paid $18.3 million for Maine’s classical music radio network owned by Mariner Broadcasting. The network’s stations are flagship WBQQ-FM; WQEZ-FM in Kennebunkport; WBQW-FM in Scarborough; WBQX-FM in Thomaston; WBQI-FM in Bar Harbor; and WBYA-FM in Bangor.
