In the Sept. 29 issue, ” D.C. Insiders Line Up Behind Candidates” reported incorrectly the length of time that Zuckerman Spaeder partner Ronald Weich spent in Vermont working on the Howard Dean campaign. It was six weeks, not six months. Also in the Sept. 29 issue, ” On the Move” incorrectly identified a new of counsel joining the D.C. office of Jenkens & Gilchrist. His correct name is W. Jackson “ Jack” Matney Jr. In the Sept. 1 issue, “Case Digests” incorrectly described the Federal Circuit’s Aug. 22 opinion in Bayer AG, et al. v. Housey Pharmaceuticals Inc.by failing to note that the decision addressed infringement under 35 U.S.C. 271(g). That section defines as an infringer “whoever without authority imports into the United States or offers to sell, sells, or uses within the United States a product which is made by a process patented in the United States.” The court held that importation of information obtained using a research process patented in the United States, or of products manufactured based on such research data, does not constitute infringement. The corrections have been made to the Web versions of the articles.
