We all know that the quickest way to a malpractice lawsuit is to blow a statute of limitations on a client's case. But, how often have you taken over or evaluated a case from another lawyer, discovered that it has malpractice written all over it, but not told (or incorrectly told) the client how long he has to file an action against the allegedly negligent attorney? Do you realize that you may have just stepped into the negligent attorney's shoes?
