Pillsbury Winthrop has lured a veteran trusts and estates attorney to serve as co-leader of its 14-attorney individual client services group. Jennifer Jordan McCall joined Pillsbury as a partner Tuesday after nine years at the New York office of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. She will work primarily at the firm’s Silicon Valley office, but will also spend time practicing at Pillsbury’s New York office. McCall’s practice focuses on representing clients such as museums, art collectors and estate fiduciaries, in the protection of wealth, tax planning and estate-related litigation. A frequent lecturer and author on estate planning and tax issues, McCall earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and an LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law. She has practiced trusts and estate law for more than 20 years. “McCall’s arrival enables us to extend our estate planning and individual client services to California as well as add to our longstanding practice in the representation of individuals and their planning on the East Coast,” Elizabeth Fry, the co-leader of the individual client services group, said in a statement. While Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro eliminated its probate practice in 1999, the firm reacquired a probate team as a result of its 2000 merger with New York’s Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts.
