The Supreme Court's 2002-2003 term has produced a series of blockbuster cases, and next term promises to produce landmark decisions as well. The 2003-04 term will be unusual for the way it will begin -- not only because the court is delaying its regular schedule for a Jewish holy day, but because, in a sense, the court will begin its work for the fall term before the term actually begins in October.
