Juan R. Ledesma of Mission, Bar No. 12108700, was disbarred for being convicted of an intentional crime. Ledesma pleaded guilty in case No. 7:00CR00310-001 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas in McAllen. The judgment of disbarment is dated Jan. 24, 2003. (Board of Disciplinary Appeals, No. 27751) Robert Edward Rangel of San Antonio, Bar No. 16543775, was suspended for six months and placed on probation for 42 months for violations including failing to keep a client reasonably informed about the status of a matter and to promptly comply with reasonable requests for information; failing to safekeep property; paying, giving, or offering to pay or give anything of value to a person not licensed to practice law for referring a prospective client; and failing to timely furnish to the chief disciplinary counsel’s office or a district grievance committee a response or other information as required. The agreed judgment, dated Feb. 19, 2003, orders Rangel to pay attorneys’ fees and costs of $5,655 to the State Bar of Texas. (224th District Court, No. 99CI04266)
