Inn of Court Announcements The Justice Robert L. Clifford Inn of Court in Passaic County is accepting applications for students, barristers and masters positions for the September 2003 to June 2004 term. The Inn’s primary focus is civil litigation and will meet the first Thursday of each month. The cost is $350. The Sidney Reitman Employment Law Inn of Court is accepting applications for its 2003-2005 cycle that begins in September. Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in practicing labor and employment law. Applications can be obtained from www.innsofcourt.org/inns/reitmaninn. Applications for the northern New Jersey branch, which meets in Glen Ridge, should be mailed to Domenick Carmagnola, Lum, Danzis, Drasco & Positan, 103 Eisenhower Parkway, Roseland, 07068. The New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Inn of Court is accepting applications for masters, barristers and pupils for the new term of September 2003 through May 2005. There will be a program at Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark and another in southern New Jersey at a location to be determined. Tuition is $300 for students, $350 for barristers and $385 for masters. Scholarships are available and discounts are offered to employees of governmental and legal service agencies. Burlington Bar Foundation Awards Scholarship The Burlington County Bar Foundation awarded the 2nd annual Jan M. Schlesinger Scholarship to Carrie Bairunas, a first-year student at Widener University School of Law, at the foundation’s Law Day Dinner on May 1 at Charley’s Other Brother in Mount Holly. Rutgers-Camden Honors Southern N.J. Leaders On May 2, the Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs at Rutgers University-Camden honored three southern New Jersey residents for their leadership contributions. The honorees were state Sen. Wayne Bryant, D-Camden, for his efforts to revitalize Camden; Rep. William Hughes, D-N.J., for his efforts to protect the New Jersey coastline; and Rep. Frank LoBiondo, R-N.J., for his efforts to protect and restore wetlands areas and the coastline.
